Anthony DellaPelle quoted in NorthJersey.com article on dune replenishment case
McKirdy & Riskin’s Anthony DellaPelle was quoted in a recent article by Anthony Campisi in a recent article in NorthJersey.com regarding the ruling by the New Jersey Supreme Court in the matter of Harvey Cedars v. Karan, in which the Court held that an award of just compensation should take into account any reasonably calculable evidence of a benefit provided to an oceanfront property owner by the erection of a sand dune on a portion of the owner’s property for storm protection purposes. The evidence of such a benefit can be considered as an offset to any damages caused to the owner’s property by the taking, the Court held. For more information, click here.
